Title - Operation Research and Operation Management in Library & Information Centers
Abstract
OR/OM techniques refer to the use of mathematical models and algorithms to improve operational efficiency and decision-making processes.
These techniques have found various applications in libraries and information centres, including resource allocation, collection development, and service optimization.
The prime focus of this colloquium would be to explore the potential of OR/OM techniques in improving operational efficiency and decision-making processes in library and information centres and to discuss practical implementation strategies and challenges.
The presentation will also highlight case studies and success stories from organisations that have adopted these techniques in their operations.
