Under the sponsorship of the National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT) of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, New Delhi, the DRTC was conducting a six-week course on “Computer Applications to Library and Information Work” from 1986 to 1999. A Candidate seeking admission to the course was generally a working librarian. This programme was part of the continuing education programme.
