- DRTC is pleased to announce a special lecture by Dr. Rama K Patnaik, Librarian at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. The lecture will focus into "A review of trends in academic libraries and the key competencies shaping library professionals" and is scheduled for March 18, 2024.
- DRTC is delighted to announce a special lecture series by Dr. K. S. Raghavan, Editor of the SRELS Journal of Information and Knowledge and Former Professor at DRTC. The series will focus on the "Traditional Information Retrieval Models and Strategy" and is scheduled to take place from March 4-8, 2024.

- Prof. Parthasarathi Mukhopadhyay University of Kalyani, is taking the special lecture on the topic "Data Carpentry for Library Services" for MS(LIS) students on November 9, 2023.
- DRTC is thrilled to announce a series of special lectures on the topic of Research Methodology and Technical Writing scheduled on November 1-3, 2022. The resource person is veteran Professor C. R. Karisiddappa.
- A couple of special lectures are scheduled on 23rd September 2022 from 03:30 pm at G-16 (DRTC Classroom). The Speakers are Mr Christos Skoutas (Open Athens) and Mr Shaji John (Vice President of Sales-South East Asia and South Asia of EBSCO Information Services).
